THE CATCH
The fight in 0P-F3K was over almost as soon as it began. In a compact engagement that lasted less than two minutes, Deepwater Hooligans and Siberian Squads found themselves on opposite sides of a sharp, costly exchange that left two marauders wrecked and the field littered with expensive firepower.
THE VARGUR GOES DOWN
The most dramatic loss was the Vargur flown by Den Quaker of Siberian Squads. The ship was worth about 1.4 billion ISK on its own, and the destruction of its fittings pushed the total loss even higher. The final blow came from Parker Tan flying an Eos, while a cluster of Deepwater Hooligans ships added pressure at close range. The attack appears to have been coordinated enough to overwhelm the marauder before it could break free.
A SECOND CAPITAL SHOT
The Vargur was not alone. A Golem also fell in the same engagement, turning what might have been a painful loss into a far more serious setback. The combined destruction suggests a trap or interception that caught the defenders at a bad moment, with 27 pilots on the grid and 11 attackers involved in the decisive kill sequence on the Vargur alone.
THE PRICE OF A SHORT FIGHT
For Deepwater Hooligans, the result was a clean and profitable strike. For Siberian Squads, it was a sharp reminder that even a short roam can turn ruinous when marauders are exposed. In New Eden, a few moments of bad timing are often all it takes to turn a heavyweight ship into wreckage, and 0P-F3K now has another expensive example to prove it.
