Curse Caught and Cut Down in 8-WYQZ Hunt

A 1.2 billion ISK Curse was destroyed in 8-WYQZ after a small Goonswarm Federation gang brought the cruiser down in a tight local engagement. The loss cost Meridthal's Neurotoxin Control ship heavily, with the final blow landing from LA woflman’s Caracal after the target had already absorbed damage from a handful of attackers.

THE CATCH

The fight in 8-WYQZ was brief, but it carried the weight of a valuable target being pinned down by a compact hunting party. The Curse, a ship built to punish overconfidence and evade trouble, instead found itself on the wrong end of a 12-pilot clash that appears to have closed quickly around it.

THE HUNTING PARTY

Goonswarm Federation provided the pressure, with the top damage coming from a cluster of Caracals supported by a Hurricane and a Ferox. That mix suggests a group ready to project steady missile fire and keep the target under strain long enough for the kill to stick. Seven attackers were credited against the ship, enough to overwhelm the cruiser before escape could matter.

THE BREAK

Meridthal’s Curse carried more than just the hull’s value. Nanite repair paste, Navy Cap Booster 400s, Signal-5 'Needlejack' Filaments, and drone flights were among the items caught in the destruction or left behind. The listed damage and loot split point to a ship that was operating prepared for trouble, but not prepared enough to survive the contact.

THE COST

At 1.2 billion ISK, this was not a routine cruiser loss. The destruction of a Curse can sting on its own, but the presence of combat consumables and a specialized fit makes the loss feel even sharper. For Goonswarm Federation, it was a clean result in a short engagement; for the victim, it was a quick and expensive end in 8-WYQZ.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Solyaris Chtonium Killed Redux.'s Avatar as 1,166 Pilots Watched

The last thing an Avatar expects to be doing is dying in lowsec, but Amamake has been ruining plans for a very long time. Redux.'s Amarr Titan - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - came apart in the Heimatar system with roughly 1,166 pilots involved in the kill, and a price tag of 142.7 billion ISK attached to a single loss.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Fifty-two point nine billion ISK, gone. One killmail. Eight hundred and forty-seven pilots on the record. Amamake has swallowed fleets, capitals, and more than a few alliances' sense of direction over the years. It has rarely swallowed 52.9 billion ISK in a single ship that was not even a capital. The victim was the Sarathiel, flying under the banner of Warlock Industries Alliance. The credited killer was Minmatar Fleet Associates. And every one of those 847 names belongs to the same kill.
