The interceptors and support ships that closed the trap left little room for escape, and the kill was finished by a Proteus flown by MyHearTw1llgoOn of Benigno Numine.

THE CATCH

The fight in C-J6MT appears to have been short and sharp, with seven pilots involved and the action resolving in the same instant it began. What stands out is not the length of the engagement, but the value of the ship that was isolated. A Crow is built for speed and survival; losing one suggests the target was pinned down before it could turn that mobility into an exit.

THE KILL

The final blow came from MyHearTw1llgoOn in a Proteus, with support also present from Bsjsisnjs in a Loki and Yuuu Dai in a Keres. The attacker side was credited to Benigno Numine, while the victim was Agust Thor of Goonswarm Federation, flying under Illuminated. The damage done was decisive, and the Crow was destroyed with almost nothing recovered from the wreck.

THE PRICE OF A MISSTEP

At 1.9 billion ISK, this was no routine loss. The wreck yielded only 4.6 million ISK in drops, while the rest of the ship and its fitting were lost to the void. Notable cargo included Complex Asteroid Mining Crystal Type B I, some of which survived, while a Maelstrom Blueprint was destroyed outright, adding another layer to the cost of the catch.

WHY IT MATTERS

Single-ship losses like this do not redraw the map, but they do show how quickly a fast-moving vessel can be erased once it is forced into the wrong place at the wrong time. In a small local engagement, that kind of destruction is a reminder that speed alone is not safety in New Eden.

That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.
