The second Athanor to go down in E-BYOS came under very direct fire, and this time the refinery did not survive the pressure. A lone Naglfar delivered the final blow, turning a 1.9 billion ISK structure into wreckage and stripping its fittings and core in the process.

THE FOLLOW-UP STRIKE

What appears to be a renewed round of fighting in E-BYOS ended with another industrial anchor collapsing under capital-class fire. The Athanor, flown by an unidentified pilot of Angry Miners Alliance. and Edge Dancers, was destroyed in a fight involving only three participants. The scale was small, but the result was not: a refinery worth 1.9 billion ISK was reduced to debris in moments.

THE BREAK

The decisive fire came from Samira Darkstone in a Naglfar, fighting for xqtywiznalamywmodxfhhopawzpqyjdwrpeptuaenabjawdzku and Zero Fun Allowed. The dreadnought delivered the final blow after inflicting the bulk of the damage, suggesting the Athanor had little room to recover once the attack landed. With no sign of a broader fleet on grid, the structure seems to have been exposed enough for a single capital ship to finish the job.

THE LOSSES

The destruction was not limited to the hull itself. The Athanor Upwell Quantum Core was recovered, while 334 Oxygen Fuel Blocks and the Standup M-Set Moon Drilling Stability I were destroyed. The Standup Moon Drill I dropped, but the station’s operating heart did not escape intact. That mix of dropped and destroyed assets makes the loss feel especially sharp for the owners, who saw both the structure and part of its industrial equipment vanish in the same strike.

WHY IT MATTERS

This was not a sprawling battle, but it was a costly continuation of one. The earlier headline already pointed to trouble in E-BYOS, and this follow-up destruction suggests the pressure has not let up.
