THE CATCH
The fight in Odebeinn was over almost as soon as it began, but the result was severe: Daenere Targaryen’s Chimera was overwhelmed by a small attacking force and destroyed with only 18.1 million ISK in loot recovered. Six attackers are credited directly on the kill, with a further handful of pilots involved around the edges of the 13-participant skirmish.
THE CAPITAL ON THE LINE
The victim, flying for Goonswarm Federation through BOVRIL bOREers Mining CO-OP, was carrying the kind of weight that makes a capital ship hard to ignore. The Chimera is not a casual loss, and the destruction of its hull accounts for nearly the entire 3.6 billion ISK value of the encounter. Whatever defensive margin it had, it was not enough to save the ship once it was pinned down.
THE FINAL BLOW
The decisive damage came from Qfeuille in a Leshak, who secured the final blow after putting in the heaviest share of the attack. Support arrived from Blanc Neige in a Vedmak and two Redeemers flown by Raila Karismaki and SinthEmortal, suggesting the target was isolated and then steadily broken rather than simply burst apart in a single strike. GeassCC’s own Chimera also appears among the attackers, though it contributed no damage to the destruction.
THE LOSSES
Beyond the hull itself, the ship’s stores were stripped to the bare minimum. One batch of Nitrogen Isotopes was completely destroyed, while another small amount was recovered, a reminder that even a capital loss can leave behind only scraps. For Goonswarm Federation, the impact is less about the salvage and more about the fact that a Chimera was exposed and lost in a matter of moments.
