A Clash of Doctrines

The Initiative's fleet leaned on Cerberus heavy assault cruisers, supported by a smaller group of Leshak battleships. Northern Coalition answered with a battleship-heavy formation built around Apocalypse Navy Issues. The two fleets collided, and losses accumulated rapidly. Many Navy Apocs were destroyed during the exchange, alongside a number of Initiative Leshaks and Cerberus cruisers. The contrasting doctrines left both sides with mounting wreckage as the battle continued.

Northern Coalition's Support Line

Northern Coalition pilots destroyed several Initiative Leshaks and a handful of Cerberus cruisers. Northern Coalition's support elements also suffered losses, with several Guardians and Damnations destroyed by Initiative pilots. Command ships and logistics cruisers were lost on the Northern Coalition side. A Mobile Cynosural Inhibitor deployed by The Initiative was destroyed as the fighting unfolded.

The Moon Drill's Bad Day

The most expensive single loss was not a warship at all. Northern Coalition's Metenox Moon Drill was destroyed by Philip Loki of The Initiative. Valued at 2.1B ISK, it was the costliest individual loss of the engagement. The destruction of the moon drill stood out amid the ship losses.

Material Toll

Northern Coalition sustained the heavier material damage. The Initiative lost several Leshaks and a handful of Cerberus cruisers, while Northern Coalition's battleship-heavy doctrine absorbed most of the destruction. The Initiative's losses were concentrated in its Leshak battleships and a small number of Cerberus cruisers, while Northern Coalition's losses were spread across its battleship line and support ships. The engagement was costly for both sides, with no side emerging unscathed.
