Four Dreadnoughts, Fourteen Pilots: Dracarys's Costly Fight in RJ3H-0

In RJ3H-0, Period Basis, fourteen Dracarys pilots faced a far larger Initiative force. Over a prolonged engagement, the outnumbered Dracarys group traded subcapital kills for staggering capital losses, with combined losses reaching 53.5 billion ISK.

A Thrasher Harvest

Early on, a Dracarys Griffin fell, but the alliance struck back. Regular Decending Tone destroyed seven Initiative Thrashers in rapid succession - cheap destroyers, but a clear statement. The Initiative swarmed in numbers, yet Dracarys pilots exacted a toll on the subcapital fleet.

Kronos to Dreadnoughts

Regular Decending Tone's luck turned when his Kronos was destroyed, and seconds later his Succubus followed. Those losses were a prelude: later, he was flying a Moros Navy Issue, the most expensive single loss of the fight at 10.2 billion ISK, destroyed by Ephrryn von Steel of The Initiative. In total, Dracarys lost four navy dreadnoughts - three Phoenix Navy Issues and the Moros - as the Initiative's firepower ground them down, even while Dracarys pilots kept scoring kills on Initiative cruisers and destroyers.

The Price

Dracarys ended with 33 losses, including four dreadnoughts, a Kronos, a Drake Navy Issue, a Mastodon, and assorted subcapitals. The Initiative took 78 losses, mostly cheap Thrashers and Omen Navy Issues. A lone Blades of Grass pilot lost a Caracal in the melee. The heavy capital losses underscored the cost of the engagement, with Dracarys paying the far larger bill.
