THE CATCH

The engagement in N-8YET was over almost as soon as it began, but the result was anything but minor. In a fight involving eight participants and losses totaling around 6B ISK, LowSechnaya Sholupen emerged with the clearest trophy of the exchange: the destruction of Paul Epic’s capsule. The loss was severe enough on its own, but the implants inside made it far more punishing than a simple podding would suggest.

THE FINISH

The final blow came from Matary Power flying a Redeemer, with the strike landing after just a sliver of damage had been applied in the endgame of the encounter. That the finishing ship was a stealth bomber titan of the covert world only sharpened the feel of the trap closing shut. For The Initiative. pilot and ANGELGARD. member Paul Epic, the escape window appears to have collapsed before it could be used, leaving the pod exposed and the implants lost with it.

THE LOSSES

The pod was not carrying empty hardware. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.
