What began as a small clash in HB7R-F quickly narrowed down to one highly valuable target. The victim was not a ship in the traditional sense, but a capsule carrying implants that turned an ordinary pod into a prize worth far more than its hull would suggest. By the time the engagement ended, that investment had vanished in a single strike.

THE HUNT

Synergy of Steel fielded at least two attackers in the takedown, with Henno Stoneback in a Wolf and RaveJuncky VanBass in a Flycatcher both present at the scene. The Wolf’s final blow suggests the pod was isolated long enough for the hunters to close the distance and finish the job before escape became possible. In fights like this, the danger is often not the ship itself but the moment after it is gone, when a prized capsule is left exposed.

THE LOSSES

The destruction of the capsule also wiped out a rare and expensive implant set, including a High-grade Snake Alpha, Mid-grade Snake Gamma and Epsilon, Zor's Custom Navigation Hyper-Link, and an Inherent Implants 'Lancer' Gunnery RF-905. Those losses account for the scale of the wreckage, pushing the total value to 1.4 billion ISK. For the pilot, it was a brutal reminder that a pod can be just as vulnerable — and far more costly — than the ship that carried it.

For Synergy of Steel, the result is a clean, high-value kill that shows the importance of timing and pursuit in small-scale New Eden combat.
