THE CATCH

Piloted by Ocus of G0lden Fleet., the transport was brought down in Frulegur by a five-ship striking group that included COASTAL BROTHERHOOD pilots alongside support from other attackers. The final blow came from Arche's Frule Lamp in a Gnosis, but the kill was shared across a much broader mix of pressure, including a Nidhoggur, a Praxis, and two Arazus in the attacking lineup.
THE LOSS
At 2.4 billion ISK, the destruction of the Bustard was heavy even before the cargo is considered. The vessel itself accounted for 1.4 billion ISK in destroyed value, while roughly 1.1 billion ISK appears to have been recovered from the wreck. Among the more notable items, over 1.35 million units of Mexallon dropped, while additional combat supplies and industrial materials were either lost or destroyed in the wreckage.
THE PRESSURE
The make-up of the attackers suggests a controlled hunt rather than a blunt brawl. Five attackers were credited on the final engagement, but the broader report lists ten participants overall, pointing to a small but active confrontation in which the target was likely isolated and then pinned down. The presence of Arazu hulls indicates tackle and control were part of the approach, while the Nidhoggur and Gnosis suggest enough force was committed to make escape increasingly unlikely once the Bustard was caught.
WHY IT MATTERS
For ZERG REBORN, losing a Bustard in this manner is more than a routine shipment gone wrong. A blockade runner can carry real value and real risk, and once it is pinned in place, the clock moves fast. Frulegur saw that equation resolve decisively in COASTAL BROTHERHOOD's favour, leaving behind a costly wreck and another reminder that even well-protected logistics ships can be erased when a hunt closes cleanly.
