What should have been a brief dash to safety instead turned into a fatal stop, with the final blow landing from an attacker flying a Blinding Leshak.

THE CATCH

The kill in AD090 was small in ship count but large in consequence. Only three participants were tied to the engagement, yet the result was the destruction of a capsule carrying implants worth far more than the hull itself. Sandra Pape, flying for Synergy of Steel through I Maicar Mordo, became the target of a Svarog Clade attack that ended in seconds rather than escape.

THE PRICE OF ONE MISTAKE

The destroyed pod carried a costly fit of personal augmentation: Mid-grade Nirvana Beta, Epsilon and Delta implants, along with Zainou 'Gnome' Shield Management SM-703 and Zainou 'Deadeye' Rapid Launch RL-1003. Taken together, those losses pushed the value of the destruction to 1.1 billion ISK. In EVE terms, that is the sort of loss that turns a single mistake into a memorable disaster.

THE FINAL BLOW

The final shot came from an unknown attacker flying a Blinding Leshak, with Svarog Clade credited for the kill. The damage came from one pilot, but the result suggests careful timing or a clean catch rather than a prolonged brawl. There was no room for recovery once the pod was in range and the attack was committed.

WHY IT MATTERS

Capsules are supposed to be the last line of defense, but in AD090 that line was breached with expensive implants still aboard. For Synergy of Steel, the loss is less about the hull and more about the time, training and ISK embedded in the pod. For Svarog Clade, it was a concise reminder that even a brief encounter can produce a high-value prize when the target is carrying the right set of implants.
