Bhaalgorn Lost in Goonswarm Trap in O-5TN1

A Deepwater Hooligans Bhaalgorn was caught and destroyed in O-5TN1 after a brief but costly clash with Goonswarm Federation, ending with the battleship’s loss and a second ship destroyed in the same engagement. The fight lasted just over five minutes, but the outcome was decisive: a valuable Bhaalgorn gone, its cargo and fittings partly destroyed, and Goonswarm’s heavier hulls left standing over the wreckage.

THE CATCH

The encounter in O-5TN1 appears to have begun as a compact hunt rather than a sprawling fleet action, with 23 pilots eventually tied to the fight. Deepwater Hooligans put a Bhaalgorn and a Draugur into the line, while Goonswarm Federation answered with a heavier mix that included a Naglfar, Phoenix, and Revelation. That balance suggests the target was never in a comfortable position once contact was made.

THE BREAK

The Bhaalgorn, flown by Argent Benuse of Deepwater Hooligans, drew the heaviest punishment and became the focus of the engagement. Goonswarm’s CloudAltair secured the final blow in a Naglfar, with help from 13 attackers tied to the destruction of the ship. The damage spread through the hull and its fittings, with part of the cargo and support gear destroyed in the process, including Nanite Repair Paste, Hornet EC-300 drones, and ammunition that never made it out.

THE LOSSES

The Bhaalgorn accounted for the bulk of the reported value, with the total engagement reaching about 3 billion ISK. The battleship alone was valued at roughly 2 billion ISK, and the wreck left behind more than 1.5 billion ISK in destroyed value. A Draugur was also lost in the same fight, turning what might have been a routine skirmish into a far more expensive misstep for Deepwater Hooligans.

THE SIGNIFICANCE

For Goonswarm Federation, the result reads as a successful interception with capital support on hand to close the trap. For Deepwater Hooligans, it was a sharp reminder of how quickly a prized battleship can become stranded in hostile space. In a short fight, the side with the heavier guns and the better timing walked away with the field, while the Bhaalgorn became the story instead of the weapon.

Scan Stakan Killed 55 Ships and Lost 186 in the Same Fight

E-WMT7 produced 376 killmails, somewhere around 134 billion ISK of wreckage, and one battleship worth more than a force auxiliary, a Nestor and a Typhoon Fleet Issue put together. The number that stings harder is 186. That is how many ships Scan Stakan lost in the same engagement in which they killed 55 - top of the kill list and top of the loss list, in a single three-and-a-half-hour afternoon.

x Never Regret x Takes 40 Kills as Raa Burns 26 Capitals

At 17:28 UTC, a Retriever died in Raa. Retrievers die constantly, and in Devoid that is more or less the job description. This one is only worth mentioning because of what followed it: for the next hundred minutes, a system on the edge of Amarr space turned into a scrapyard, and by the time the last shot landed at 19:10, 87 ships had been destroyed and the bill had reached 157.4 billion ISK. Almost half of that was one Revelation.

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Split Dal's 192 Billion ISK Bill

An Amarr Shuttle belonging to G0lden Fleet. died in Dal at 16:15 UTC. That is not normally the opening line of a 192 billion ISK story, but Dal spent the next three hours and forty-one minutes making sure nobody forgot it. By the time the last capsule in the system - belonging to x Never Regret x - came apart at 19:56, 557 pilots had produced 516 confirmed losses, fourteen capital ships had been wrecked, and the Heimatar system had eaten just over 192 billion ISK. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.
