THE HUNT
Kitchen Sinkhole accounted for the bulk of the attacking force, with 13 pilots credited against the Barghest alone. The damage came from a mixed strike package that included a Cenotaph, Vargur, Zealot, Cerberus and Cyclone Fleet Issue, suggesting a coordinated effort rather than a lone opportunistic tackle. The Barghest’s cargo tells the story of a ship prepared for prolonged action, packed with heavy missiles and nanite repair paste, but that preparation was not enough to save it once contact was made.
THE BREAK
Alias Tatan in a Cenotaph delivered the final blow, finishing the battleship after UrinalPie’s Vargur had already done the heaviest work. By the time the Barghest went down, most of its value had been stripped away in the destruction itself, with only a fraction dropping for recovery. For Dabragones and Ferrata Cohortis, the loss was immediate and severe: a 2 billion ISK ship removed from the field in a fight that offered little room for rescue or withdrawal.
THE COST
The wider skirmish involved 23 participants and ended with two ships lost, but the Barghest clearly defined the outcome. Kitchen Sinkhole and Dark Venture Corporation secured the expensive kill, while Estamos Solos Alliance and Ferrata Cohortis absorbed the damage on the losing side.
