An Athanor in Hangond was caught and destroyed in a brief but costly strike that left Tough Love Logistics nursing a 3.3 billion ISK loss. The refinery’s collapse came at the hands of Warping The Pattern, with Kacote’s Abaddon landing the final blow after a concentrated attack by 10 pilots.

THE HUNT

The fight in Hangond was small in number but heavy in consequence. Fifteen pilots were involved in the engagement, but the centrepiece was unmistakably the Athanor itself — a structure that does not die cheaply and rarely falls without a reason. On this occasion, it appears Warping The Pattern found one exposed long enough to bring it down.

THE COLLAPSE

The attackers committed hard. Kacote’s Abaddon secured the final blow, but the damage had already been laid down by a wave of heavy ships, including Abaddons flown by Nazuka kerck and Sebas-T1an. Their fire overwhelmed the refinery while Ishtars under Talcam Nakrar and Kylaah Nakrar added support. The scale of the damage suggests a deliberate and sustained assault rather than a passing skirmish.

THE LOSSES

When the Athanor went up, it took a painful amount of hardware with it. Around 2.1 billion ISK in assets was destroyed, including the Athanor Upwell Quantum Core, a Standup Reprocessing Facility I, a Standup M-Set Moon Drilling Efficiency I, and over 13,000 Oxygen Fuel Blocks. A further 1.2 billion ISK in items dropped, leaving Tough Love Logistics with a loss that will be felt well beyond the wreckage in Hangond.

THE PRICE OF EXPOSURE

For Warping The Pattern, the operation appears to have been a clean and expensive denial of assets. For Tough Love Logistics, it was a reminder that a refinery in space is only as safe as the moment it is left vulnerable. Even without a sprawling battle on the field, the destruction of an Athanor carries weight: industry interrupted, infrastructure erased, and a multi-billion ISK prize handed to the attackers in a matter of moments.
