Against that limited opposition, the structure was unable to hold out, and the attackers turned a routine-looking target into a 2.5 billion ISK loss.
THE FINAL BLOW
The killing blow came from Alyssa Tirii flying a Moros Navy Issue, with Bl4ckSmith in a Sabre helping apply pressure. Together, the pair accounted for the destruction of the refinery, suggesting the target had little room to escape once the attackers committed. The presence of a capital dreadnought on the attacking side made the loss feel especially decisive for such a small engagement.
THE PRIZE
The wreckage tells part of the story. Standup Cruise Missile and Standup Light Missile ammunition was recovered, while Standup Heavy Missile ammunition and 580 Oxygen Fuel Blocks were destroyed. A Standup Focused Warp Disruptor I also dropped, underscoring that this was no empty shell but a fitted and active industrial asset when it was caught.
THE COST
For D3ad End, the loss of an Athanor is more than a line item. Even in a compact skirmish, the destruction of a refinery represents a serious financial setback and a reminder that high-value structures remain vulnerable when hunters arrive with the right combination of firepower and timing. In XDTW-F, that combination was enough to turn a brief clash into an expensive wreck.
