The engagement was brief, but its outcome was decisive. BorderZone’s Athanor, operated by Greenskin Holding, was caught in B9N2-2 and destroyed by Brotherhood of Spacers after a concentrated assault. The final blow came from Ochre Miner flying a Talos, one of several Talos pilots applied to the target as the structure came under sustained damage.
THE BREAK
The data suggests a compact, hard-hitting attack group rather than a prolonged siege. Brotherhood of Spacers fielded 12 attackers, and the damage profile points to a deliberate effort to push through the Athanor’s defenses quickly. By the end of the fight, the structure had been broken apart for 1.5 billion ISK in destroyed value, with another 835.3 million ISK dropping from the wreckage.
THE LOSSES
What survived and what did not gives the loss its weight. Among the notable items recovered were thousands of Hydrogen Fuel Blocks and smaller amounts of Oxygen Fuel Blocks, while the Standup M-Set Moon Ore Grading Processor I and Standup M-Set Asteroid Ore Grading Processor I were destroyed in the wreck. The Athanor Upwell Quantum Core also dropped, underscoring how much value was tied up in the structure when it was brought down.
THE CONSEQUENCE
For BorderZone, the loss is more than the disappearance of a single industrial platform. An Athanor is expensive on its own, and this one carried enough fittings and core value to make the destruction sting. For Brotherhood of Spacers, the strike was a clean result: a high-value structure removed, loot secured, and a clear reminder that even defended industrial assets can disappear quickly when caught exposed at the wrong moment.
