Astarte Lost in 8S28-3 as Vagabond Wing Claims 1.2B ISK Prize

An Astarte flown by AutoM Romain of Honkai Star Rail. was brought down in 8S28-3 after a 12-ship assault by Siberian Squads, ending with the command battlecruiser destroyed in a fight valued at 1.2 billion ISK. The loss appears to have come quickly and decisively, with Vagabonds doing the bulk of the work before vvaizik in a Vagabond landed the final blow.

THE CATCH

The engagement in 8S28-3 was brief, but the target was anything but ordinary. AutoM Romain’s Astarte, a heavy command battlecruiser, drew the attention of a Siberian Squads group that committed 12 attackers to the kill. Against that pressure, the ship did not survive long enough to turn the encounter into an extended fight.

THE PRESSURE BUILDS

The attacking force was centred on Vagabonds, with several pilots contributing sustained damage as they closed the distance. Prorok Kado, JitaTrader45, LEXA ROMANOV, and darkness reins all added significant fire, suggesting a coordinated hunt rather than a chance encounter. The final blow came from vvaizik, also in a Vagabond, bringing the attack to a close.

THE LOSSES

The Astarte’s destruction accounted for 789.1 million ISK in destroyed value, while 425.4 million ISK was recovered from the wreck. Among the material lost were heavy quantities of ammunition and charges, including Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M, Caldari Navy Uranium Charge M, Caldari Navy Thorium Charge M, Spike M, and Sensor Optimization Charge. The scale of the fit and ammunition load underscores how much was committed to the ship before it was caught.

THE SIGNIFICANCE

For Honkai Star Rail. and its pilot, the loss is a costly one even in isolation. For Siberian Squads, it is a clean result: a valuable command ship destroyed, the wreck stripped of a substantial portion of its fit, and a sharp reminder that even sturdy hulls can disappear quickly when caught by a focused gang in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Solyaris Chtonium Killed Redux.'s Avatar as 1,166 Pilots Watched

The last thing an Avatar expects to be doing is dying in lowsec, but Amamake has been ruining plans for a very long time. Redux.'s Amarr Titan - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - came apart in the Heimatar system with roughly 1,166 pilots involved in the kill, and a price tag of 142.7 billion ISK attached to a single loss.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Fifty-two point nine billion ISK, gone. One killmail. Eight hundred and forty-seven pilots on the record. Amamake has swallowed fleets, capitals, and more than a few alliances' sense of direction over the years. It has rarely swallowed 52.9 billion ISK in a single ship that was not even a capital. The victim was the Sarathiel, flying under the banner of Warlock Industries Alliance. The credited killer was Minmatar Fleet Associates. And every one of those 847 names belongs to the same kill.
