THE CATCH
The fight in H-5GUI was over almost as soon as it started. By the time the engagement ended, WindPlayer’s Arazu was already burning out of the field as a wreck, bringing down one of Fraternity.’s more valuable recon ships in a fast, two-pilot clash. The scale was small, but the result was anything but routine: a covert-ops style vessel worth 1.2 billion ISK lost in a moment that suggests the target was caught exposed or unable to disengage cleanly.
THE LOSS
The destroyed ship was an Arazu, a hull that rewards control and patience but punishes any lapse in positioning. The wreck left behind only a sliver of value compared with the ship’s cost, with just 12.3 million ISK recovered and the rest gone with the ship. Among the surviving fittings and cargo were liquid ozone, ECCM scripts, Navy Cap Booster 800s, and a Damage Control II, while a 50MN Y-T8 Compact Microwarpdrive was destroyed in the wreckage.
THE ATTACKER
The final blow was delivered by an unknown attacker flying an Infesting Disruptor Tau, operating under the banner of Unaligned attackers. With only one attacker credited in the report, this appears to have been a clean and deliberate catch rather than a broad fleet action. The kill was credited with 9,224 damage done by the attacker, enough to finish the recon before help or escape could change the outcome.
WHY IT MATTERS
For Fraternity., the loss of a recon cruiser in a localized skirmish is less about the headcount than the cost and the leverage surrendered in the moment. An Arazu is the kind of ship that can shape a small engagement, and losing one this way leaves a mark even without a larger fleet attached to the fight. In H-5GUI, the short encounter served as a reminder that even a single hostile on the right grid can turn a controlled ship into an expensive wreck in seconds.
