THE HUNT
The fight in Oddelulf appears to have centered on a single expensive opening: an Apostle flown by SmokeyUK of The Rejected., backed by Tactical Withdrawal Team. What followed was not a routine pick-off but a concentrated attack, with 20 attackers credited on the final blow alone and multiple Redeemers committing damage into the armour and structure of the capital logi hull.
THE BREAK
The Apostle’s loss tells the story of a ship that was exposed long enough for the hunters to work it down. The final blow came from klimach Rus in a Redeemer flown by Great Wildlands Conservation Society, while other attackers from Great Wildlands Conservation Society, Snuffed Out, PURPLE HELMETED WARRIORS, and a Panther from Dale Gen all contributed to the pressure. Fuel and logistics stores burned away with it: helium isotopes were destroyed, liquid ozone was scattered, and the ship’s repair and booster supplies were partly lost in the wreck.
THE COST
The Apostle accounted for 8.2 billion ISK of the total value destroyed, making it the clear prize of the encounter. Only 2.1 billion ISK appears to have been recovered, leaving the bulk of the loss to the wreckage. The accompanying Redeemer loss suggests the exchange did not end cleanly for the attackers either, but the scale of the Apostle’s destruction dominates the outcome.
THE AFTERMATH
With two ships lost and 46 pilots involved, the Oddelulf clash was large enough to register as more than a brief skirmish, yet focused enough to revolve around a single capital target. For The Rejected., losing an Apostle is a hard and unmistakable setback; for the attackers, it was a successful catch that turned a short fight into a costly headline.
