THE CATCH
The engagement in V6-NY1 appears to have centered on a single expensive target rather than a sprawling fleet brawl. Mako.’s Flono Krankos was flying an Apocalypse Navy Issue when The Initiative. committed 16 pilots to the kill, part of a wider 30-participant clash in system. The fact that the ship was holding enough value to register at 1.2 billion ISK made it exactly the kind of prize roaming forces hunt for: slow enough to punish, costly enough to matter, and vulnerable enough to lose quickly when the trap closes.
THE PRESSURE
The damage came from a mixed attacking group that included another Apocalypse Navy Issue, a Drekavac, a Loki, a Hurricane and a Scorpion among the leading contributors. FyreStrike delivered the final blow in his own Apocalypse Navy Issue after NeVeR C0nvICTed’s Drekavac appears to have done the heaviest work in the run-up to the destruction. That combination suggests the victim was pinned under sustained pressure rather than erased by a single lucky volley.
THE BREAK
When the battleship finally went down, most of the value vanished with it. Roughly 1 billion ISK was destroyed, while only 156.8 million ISK in fittings and cargo was recovered. The cargo and modules that did not survive included Navy Cap Booster 3200s, Imperial Navy ammunition and nanite repair supplies, all of which point to a ship prepared for a fight it could not win. The loss of those consumables also hints that the pilot had already committed to staying on grid rather than cutting and running.
THE CONSEQUENCE
For Mako., the destruction of a Navy Issue in a compact but sizeable local fight is a sharp reminder of how quickly a valuable ship can disappear once it is isolated. For The Initiative., it was a clean and expensive prize taken in system, one that reinforces the danger of lingering too long in hostile space. In EVE, battles are often remembered not by how long they last, but by how much they cost—and in V6-NY1, this one cost enough to be noticed.
