A 1.1 billion ISK Apocalypse Navy Issue was destroyed in J154726 after Wolves Amongst Strangers closed in on the target and overwhelmed it in a fight that involved 26 participants. The loss left Riders of Darkness with a costly wreck and another reminder that even a battleship can vanish quickly when it is caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

THE CATCH

The engagement appears to have been a tight, fast-moving trap rather than a prolonged exchange. In the Class 6 wormhole system of J154726, Wolves Amongst Strangers brought enough force to pin down Sergey Khamsi’s Apocalypse Navy Issue before the ship could escape. The final blow came from Paula Augustin, also flying an Apocalypse Navy Issue, with several other attackers piling on the damage from the same hull type.

THE BREAK

The attackers’ pressure was heavy enough to push through the armour and end the fight decisively. Julian Hertel, Syzygium, Taurvi, and Chargxx all added substantial damage, suggesting a coordinated focus on one target rather than a scattered brawl. Once the Navy Issue was committed and unable to disengage, the outcome seems to have been decided quickly.

THE LOSSES

The destroyed ship accounted for the largest part of the 1.1 billion ISK total, with 690.7 million ISK destroyed and another 382.4 million ISK recovered by the victors. Among the fittings that did not survive were Conflagration L and Imperial Navy Multifrequency L ammunition, while Nanite Repair Paste and some Scorch L charges were among the items that dropped. For Riders of Darkness, the loss of a battleship-class Navy Issue is a sharp hit even before any broader tactical implications are considered.

WHY IT MATTERS

A single expensive ship loss does not need a grand campaign around it to matter. In wormhole space, where attention and positioning are everything, the destruction of a Navy Issue in seconds suggests the target was exposed long enough for the hunters to spring the net. For Wolves Amongst Strangers, it was a clean prize; for Riders of Darkness, it was a costly exit from J154726.
