Anshar Caught and Cut Down in Akora Border Hunt

A 7.3 billion ISK Anshar was brought down in Akora after a small but lethal hunt closed around the jump freighter. The ship belonged to soulsearcher101 of Test Alliance Please Ignore and Machiavellian Empire, while the final blow came from Blan flying a Leshak for Best Cool Stories.

THE CATCH

What began as a compact engagement quickly turned into a very expensive loss for the freighter pilot. The Anshar was destroyed in Akora, with nine participants involved in the wider fight and four attackers credited on the final loss. For a ship designed to move valuable cargo through dangerous space, there was little margin for error once the hunters found their target.

THE BREAK

The attackers brought a mixed force to the kill, with Leshaks on the field and a Praxis joining the pressure from DarkSide. before the target was finished off. Blan’s Leshak landed the final blow, but the damage had already been done by sustained fire from multiple directions. The result suggests the Anshar was pinned long enough for the hunters to work through its defenses and prevent any clean escape.

THE PRICE OF FAILURE

The ship itself was the story here, but the fit hints at what was being carried through Akora. The wreck yielded only a tiny fraction of the total value, while 363,967 units of Oxygen Isotopes were destroyed and three Expanded Cargohold II modules dropped from the hold. For a jump freighter, that is a costly and very visible end to what was likely meant to be an unremarkable transit.

WHY IT MATTERS

A single capital-class industrial loss will not rewrite a war, but it does underline how exposed high-value logistics remain when hunters get the timing right. Best Cool Stories and DarkSide. turned one moment in Akora into a 7.3 billion ISK setback, and the wreck will be remembered less for what it moved than for how quickly it was caught.

Big Vantus Paid 15 Ships Toward Pochven's 72 Billion ISK Tab

Of the 47 ships destroyed in Ignebaener, 46 were, in ISK terms, background noise. The 47th was a Paladin valued at just under 57.5 billion ISK - close to four-fifths of everything the system destroyed in one sitting. One hull, one pilot, one very bad moment, and the number that will define this fight long after the killboards stop updating.

Brave Newbies Lost 21 Ships in 4-07MU and Shot Back With Interest

Somewhere around 19:25 UTC, a Caracal Navy Issue died in 4-07MU and 912 pilots decided that was a reasonable invitation. Two hours later the system had produced 200 wrecks, 67.2 billion ISK of damage, and not one capital ship - just battleship after battleship feeding itself into a fight that refused to end. The killboards call it a gank. The killboards are only half right.

Solyaris Chtonium Killed Redux.'s Avatar as 1,166 Pilots Watched

The last thing an Avatar expects to be doing is dying in lowsec, but Amamake has been ruining plans for a very long time. Redux.'s Amarr Titan - one of the largest and most expensive warships in New Eden - came apart in the Heimatar system with roughly 1,166 pilots involved in the kill, and a price tag of 142.7 billion ISK attached to a single loss.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Warlock Industries Alliance Lost 52 Billion ISK. It Wasn't Even a Capital.

Fifty-two point nine billion ISK, gone. One killmail. Eight hundred and forty-seven pilots on the record. Amamake has swallowed fleets, capitals, and more than a few alliances' sense of direction over the years. It has rarely swallowed 52.9 billion ISK in a single ship that was not even a capital. The victim was the Sarathiel, flying under the banner of Warlock Industries Alliance. The credited killer was Minmatar Fleet Associates. And every one of those 847 names belongs to the same kill.
