2.7B ISK Charon Caught and Crushed in Uedama

A Charon carrying a 2.7 billion ISK price tag was brought down in Uedama after L.E.G.I.O.N. caught the freighter with 29 attackers on the field. The final blow came from a Coercer, but the damage had already been done by a much heavier strike force that left the industrial giant no room to breathe.

THE CATCH

The loss unfolded in Uedama, a system long known for punishing expensive hauling mistakes, and this one was no exception. Winstgerald Fitzston’s Charon was the target, and the ship’s size alone made it vulnerable the moment it was found exposed. Against a force of 29 attackers from L.E.G.I.O.N., the freighter had little chance of slipping away once the engagement began.

THE STRIKE

The attackers came in hard with a mix that suggests the kill was built for speed and overwhelming damage rather than a prolonged exchange. Talos battlecruisers did the heaviest work, supported by Coercers applying pressure around the freighter. The final blow was credited to zLegion 22 in a Coercer, but the real story is how quickly the attack closed around the Charon once it had been pinned down.

THE LOSSES

The ship itself was the prize: a Charon valued at 2.7 billion ISK, with 1.7 billion ISK destroyed and just under a billion ISK recovered in dropped cargo and fittings. Among the notable wreckage were destroyed Coercer Navy Issue ships and dropped Augoror Navy Issue and Omen Navy Issue modules, along with Expanded Cargohold II and Reinforced Bulkheads II fittings. For the victim corporation, Winston's LP Embezzlement Office, the sight of a freighter breaking apart in Uedama will have carried a painfully familiar sting.

WHY IT MATTERS

This was not a fleet battle, but it did not need to be. It was a costly interception in one of New Eden’s most dangerous choke points, where a single exposed hauler can become a headline in moments. For L.E.G.I.O.N., it was a clean and expensive prize; for the Charon’s pilot, it was a reminder that Uedama remains one of the cluster’s harshest places to move value under pressure.

Scan Stakan Killed 55 Ships and Lost 186 in the Same Fight

E-WMT7 produced 376 killmails, somewhere around 134 billion ISK of wreckage, and one battleship worth more than a force auxiliary, a Nestor and a Typhoon Fleet Issue put together. The number that stings harder is 186. That is how many ships Scan Stakan lost in the same engagement in which they killed 55 - top of the kill list and top of the loss list, in a single three-and-a-half-hour afternoon.

x Never Regret x Takes 40 Kills as Raa Burns 26 Capitals

At 17:28 UTC, a Retriever died in Raa. Retrievers die constantly, and in Devoid that is more or less the job description. This one is only worth mentioning because of what followed it: for the next hundred minutes, a system on the edge of Amarr space turned into a scrapyard, and by the time the last shot landed at 19:10, 87 ships had been destroyed and the bill had reached 157.4 billion ISK. Almost half of that was one Revelation.

Rattini Tribe and Prime Directive. Split Dal's 192 Billion ISK Bill

An Amarr Shuttle belonging to G0lden Fleet. died in Dal at 16:15 UTC. That is not normally the opening line of a 192 billion ISK story, but Dal spent the next three hours and forty-one minutes making sure nobody forgot it. By the time the last capsule in the system - belonging to x Never Regret x - came apart at 19:56, 557 pilots had produced 516 confirmed losses, fourteen capital ships had been wrecked, and the Heimatar system had eaten just over 192 billion ISK. That is not a skirmish somebody stumbled into. That is a decision, made over and over, for the better part of four hours.

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.
