A costly capsule loss in 5E-CMA has left V0IDLINGS counting the price of a fast catch. What began as a brief encounter ended with Anarchynow’s pod destroyed and a hangar’s worth of implants vaporised, including a full mid-grade Snake set and other high-end augmentations. The final blow came from Goonswarm Federation’s DragonZer0 flying an Eris, capping off a 14-pilot skirmish that lasted only an instant but carried a very real billion-ISK sting.

THE CATCH

The fighting in 5E-CMA appears to have been sharply one-sided once Goonswarm Federation got its target locked down. With 14 pilots on grid and seven attackers credited on the decisive loss, this was less a prolonged exchange than a fast interception that ended before the victim could get clear. The destroyed ship was only a capsule, but in New Eden the pod can be more valuable than the hull it carries, and this one was loaded accordingly.

THE PRICE OF THE POD

Anarchynow of V0IDLINGS lost implants that pushed the total value of the destruction to about 1 billion ISK. Among the items destroyed were Mid-grade Snake Epsilon, Mid-grade Snake Alpha, Mid-grade Snake Gamma, Zor's Custom Navigation Hyper-Link, and Eifyr and Co. 'Rogue' Evasive Maneuvering EM-703. That combination suggests a pod built for speed and agility, and its destruction turned an otherwise ordinary capsule loss into something much more expensive and memorable.

THE FINAL BLOW

DragonZer0 of Goonswarm Federation, flying an Eris, landed the final blow after damage from Cormack 634’s Raptor helped wear the target down. The attacker list also included other Goonswarm pilots in interceptors, a Crusader, and a Bifrost, indicating a small but mobile force suited to closing distance quickly and preventing escape. For the victim, there was no room to recover once the net closed.

WHY IT MATTERS

Single-pod losses rarely make noise on their own, but this one stands out because of the value packed into the capsule and the speed with which it was removed from the field. It is the sort of loss that reminds pilots how fragile an expensive clone can be once a roaming gang finds it.
