THE CATCH
The engagement in Tararan was brief, but it carried a heavy price. What appears to have been a local interception ended with Snauso’s capsule destroyed almost as soon as the clash began. With only seven participants involved, the encounter had the feel of a tight hunt rather than a sprawling fight, and PLAGA. emerged with the prize.
THE FINAL BLAST
The final blow was delivered by assasain in an Eris, a ship more often associated with control than spectacle, but here it sealed a very expensive loss. The victim’s capsule carried a set of mid-grade Snake implants, including the Alpha, Epsilon, Gamma and Omega pieces, alongside Zor’s Custom Navigation Hyper-Link. Their destruction accounts for the bulk of the 1.2 billion ISK loss and suggests the pilot was carrying a particularly valuable travel setup.
THE LOSS
For Deepwater Hooligans and Snauso, the result was absolute: the capsule was destroyed and the implants went with it. With all of the notable items destroyed rather than recovered, there was no partial salvage to soften the blow. In New Eden, that turns a routine interruption into a memorable setback, especially when the shipboard savings are concentrated in the pod.
WHY IT MATTERS
Single-pod losses rarely make noise unless the implants are expensive enough to sting, and this one certainly qualifies. For PLAGA., the outcome suggests a clean interception and a successful finish in local space. For the victim, Tararan became an expensive reminder that even a momentary lapse in safety can turn a short trip into a billion-ISK disaster.
