THE TURN
What began as a concentrated sovereignty campaign in Outer Passage now appears to be moving into a more fluid stage. D3ad End, the defender, is regaining ground after several days of sustained pressure, a development that suggests the immediate momentum has shifted at least in part back toward the home side. That does not mean the campaign has eased; the pressure is still broad, and the fight remains active across several systems.
THE SPREAD
The systems currently in play — 2ID-87, 8K-QCZ, FVQF-W, and now XDTW-F — point to a front that is widening rather than contracting. The addition of XDTW-F is the clearest sign that pressure is spreading into new territory, which can complicate defence and stretch response options. For a regional campaign, that kind of expansion often matters as much as any single system, because it can force defenders to divide attention across a larger area.
THE HOLD
For D3ad End, the current picture is more encouraging than it would have been earlier in the campaign, but still far from secure. Regaining ground may help stabilise key positions and slow the tempo of the offensive, yet the wider conflict is still exerting pressure on Outer Passage as a whole. The region remains contested enough that every new system drawn into the struggle could influence how easily either side can maintain initiative.
THE NEXT FRONT
With the front still active and no systems removed from the campaign, the story now seems to be one of endurance and reach rather than a swift breakthrough. The coming phase may reveal whether D3ad End can turn regained ground into lasting stability, or whether the spread into XDTW-F is the beginning of a deeper push into the region. Either way, Outer Passage remains a live campaign, and the balance there is still capable of shifting again.
