Vargur Hunted Down in YKE4-3 as Black Ops Fleet Closes the Net

A 1.2 billion ISK Vargur was destroyed in YKE4-3 after a 16-pilot clash ended with a black ops strike force claiming the final blow. The Marauder, flown by DAwei DAwei of Out of the Blue., was caught in a short but costly fight that ended with mrjknyazev’s Panther delivering the finishing shot.

THE CATCH

The engagement in YKE4-3 appears to have turned on a quick interception rather than a prolonged exchange. Sixteen pilots were involved in the clash, but the loss itself centered on a single expensive target: DAwei DAwei’s Vargur. Against that backdrop, the fight had the feel of a hunt closing fast, with Death or Glory and allied pilots applying enough pressure to pin the Marauder in place.

THE STRIKE FORCE

The attackers brought a compact but dangerous mix of covert firepower. mrjknyazev’s Panther scored the final blow, while other black ops hulls, including Redeemers flown by Bad Santa 13 and ANherc, added heavy damage. Primalhead’s Redeemer and another Panther from Jassie Jarry Jay also contributed, suggesting this was a coordinated strike built to overwhelm a target before it could break away.

THE VARGUR FALLS

The Vargur did not go down cleanly. The ship’s loadout included large stacks of Hail L and Republic Fleet EMP L, with some Barrage L recovered, hinting at a battleship fitted for serious brawling rather than cautious travel. Even so, the hull was burned down quickly enough that most of the 1.2 billion ISK loss was destroyed outright, leaving only 65 million ISK in loot behind.

WHY IT MATTERS

For Out of the Blue., the loss of a Vargur is more than a line item. Marauders are prized for their resilience and damage output, and losing one in a short-range ambush can be a sharp setback. For Death or Glory, the result is a clear demonstration of what a black ops gang can do when it finds the right target at the right moment: isolate, overwhelm, and finish the job before the prey can turn the fight.

Brave Newbies Topped Both Sides of the HY-RWO Ledger

The first ship to die in HY-RWO was a Rokh worth 44.7 billion ISK, and it set the tone for everything that came after. Over the following hour, 1,883 pilots fought in the Catch system, 243 ships were destroyed, and around 205 billion ISK was removed from the economy one killmail at a time. Not a single capital ship died. In a fight of that size, the most expensive losses were ordinary battleships, fitted in a way that makes the word 'ordinary' sound absurd.

Scan Stakan Fed 146 Ships to the F-5WYK Grinder

Ninety-one minutes. Two thousand four hundred and forty-two pilots. Two hundred and ninety-eight wrecks. And one Apocalypse Navy Issue that cost more on its own than the next three most expensive losses of the fight put together. F-5WYK, out in the nullsec region of Perrigen Falls, spent three quarters of a trillion ISK in an hour and a half. When the shooting stopped, one alliance accounted for very nearly half the wreckage - and nobody had lost a Titan.

ChuangShi Parked 234 Ships in P-ZMZV. Can't park there m8 Noticed.

The first confirmed loss in P-ZMZV wasn't a ship. At 13:49 the opening entry on the killboard is a capsule - a pilot's escape pod, logged and destroyed. The last entry, some two and a half hours later, is an Osprey Navy Issue flown for Black Layer Syndicate. In between, the system swallowed 581 losses and roughly 1.77 trillion ISK, and when the shooting finally stopped, one side was still out there sweeping the grid for pods.

Rattini Tribe Topped Amamake's Kills and Its Losses

At 22:01 UTC the first wreck of the night was a Slasher, a frigate so cheap it barely registers as a rounding error in a system like Amamake. Nearly four hours later, at 01:59, a Hecate stopped burning and the shooting finally trailed off. In between, Heimatar's most notorious lowsec system swallowed a Titan, a supercarrier, thirty-three capitals and somewhere in the region of 12.2 trillion ISK of everything else. The final tally: 1,705 ships destroyed, roughly 44,900 pilots credited across the killmails, and one alliance sitting proudly at the top of both the kill column and the loss column.
