Obelisk Crushed in Uedama High-Cost Interception

A 3.3 billion ISK Obelisk was caught and destroyed in Uedama as L.E.G.I.O.N applied overwhelming pressure to a freighter that had no room to breathe once the net closed. The kill was credited to a Catalyst flown by zLegion 14, but the scale of the attack suggests a coordinated effort rather than a lone opportunist strike.

THE CATCH

The loss came in Uedama, a system long associated with risk for anything moving through its lanes, and this freighter became the latest expensive casualty to that danger. Kineshma serega’s Obelisk was taken down by L.E.G.I.O.N in a brief but costly engagement that left no sign of a successful escape. With 46 participants involved in the broader incident, the fight appears to have drawn enough attention to overwhelm the freighter before it could get clear.

THE PRESSURE

The attacking side fielded at least 41 pilots, with a cluster of Catalysts doing the heavy lifting against the freighter. zLegion 03, zLegion 01, zLegion 02 and zLegion 04 all contributed significant damage before zLegion 14 landed the final blow. That concentration of destroyers points to a deliberate application of force: fast, disposable ships committed to ending the target quickly before any exit could be made work.

THE LOSSES

The Obelisk’s destruction accounted for the full 3.3 billion ISK value reported here, and the cargo and fittings vanished with it. Among the items lost were inertial stabilizers and a large quantity of oxides, evidence of a ship that was not empty and had every reason to avoid a fight. Once the freighter was pinned down, those fittings were of little help, and the wreck marked the end of the gamble.

WHY IT MATTERS

For a single ship loss, this was a sizeable and very visible one. Freighters do not die in Uedama by accident; they die when they are exposed long enough for hunters to act, and this one was no exception. The destruction of an Obelisk is a reminder that even heavily valued logistics hulls remain vulnerable the moment they are isolated, and in New Eden that makes every transit through the choke points a calculated risk.

ChuangShi Lost 70 Ships in P-ZMZV and Kept Shooting Back

The first confirmed loss in P-ZMZV wasn't a ship. It was a capsule - a pilot already out of their hull, already running, and not fast enough. Eighty-five minutes and 186 wrecks later, the last loss on the board was a capsule too. In between, more than a thousand pilots turned a structure fight in Querious into a 126 billion ISK argument that nobody walked away from cleanly.

Scan Stakan Lost 94 Ships and Still Landed 45 Kills

Thirty-five minutes in F-5WYK left 183 wrecks, four dead capitals and a bill of 163.5 billion ISK. The most striking number of the day, though, sits in the loss column: Scan Stakan lost 94 ships - and killed 45 more on the way down.

A P E X Bring 44 Pilots to Kill One The Scope Nyx

Some killmails are lists. This one is a single line, and the line costs fifty billion ISK. In the Khanid system of Irmalin, a Nyx belonging to The Scope was destroyed, and the record shows forty-four pilots credited with the work. One ship, one kill, fifty billion ISK. That is the whole event - and it is more than enough to be worth reading twice.

African Atomic. Turned Vecamia Into a 132 Billion ISK Junkyard

Somewhere in the middle of a 48-minute fight in Vecamia, the most expensive thing on the field was not a dreadnought. It was a battleship. The CONCORD Marshal that died in Genesis cost just over 50.9 billion ISK on its own - more than the Phoenix, the Revelation and the Revelation Navy Issue that also died in the same system, added together. Twelve capitals burned in Vecamia on the way to a 132 billion ISK total. Only one of the losses was a battleship, and it is the one everyone will remember.
