THE CATCH

The engagement in 88A-RA was brief, but it was costly. What began as a 15-pilot clash ended with a single, expensive ship on the wrong side of the fight: Kirkon’s Golem, flown for Goonswarm Federation’s Kriegsmarinewerft, was destroyed in a strike that left little room for a clean escape.

THE BREAKDOWN

BYDLO RELOADED accounted for the final blow, but the damage came from a broader mix of attackers. Sergey llllllll’s Drake Navy Issue secured the kill, while pilots from The Initiative. and Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy also registered meaningful damage. An Exequror Navy Issue flown by 179315 and a Khizriel flown by Dobrynia both suggest this was more than a casual pick-up fight; the target was held in place long enough for the pressure to build and the Golem to be worn down.

THE LOSSES

The cost of the destruction was severe. The Golem accounted for the bulk of the 2.4 billion ISK loss, with 1.4 billion ISK destroyed and 947.5 million ISK dropped. The hold tells its own story: thousands of cruise missiles were split between what burned away and what survived, including Nova Fury, Mjolnir Precision, Mjolnir Auto-Targeting, Inferno Precision, and Scourge Precision cruise missiles. It was a heavily stocked ship, and those supplies made the wreck all the more valuable to everyone involved.
