Three Doctrines, One Wormhole

Fraternity, Verlate and 7.62 formed the heart of one side, leaning on Cerberus heavy assault cruisers and Barghest battleships, with a handful of Vargurs adding heavy fire. Opposite them, C A M E L O T and the CBOPA KOTOB alliances brought Abaddon battleships and Absolution command ships, backed by Leshak battleships. Lunar Luminescence operated as a separate group with Abaddons and a few stealth bombers, while Alea jacta est. fielded Leshaks of its own. The fleets could hardly have been more different in style.

The Toll Mounts

Losses were spread across every hull type and nearly every group, but Fraternity's Cerberus and Barghest pilots absorbed the heaviest punishment. C A M E L O T and the CBOPA alliances paid for their armor-heavy doctrine with repeated Abaddon and Absolution losses; Leshaks were also lost by the CBOPA and Alea jacta est. groups. Among the wrecks one hull stood out: a 2B ISK Vindicator flown by Rost Kosh of Dream RuCorp inc., which was finished off by Silendis Bheskagor of Verlate.

A Crowded Kill Zone

The fight was not a clean two-sided affair. 7.62 pilots carved through enemy ships without losing hulls of their own, while corporations such as Dream RuCorp inc. and ARTEK CAMP found themselves both killing and dying. The Initiative., Northern Coalition., and Test Alliance Please Ignore were among the smaller parties adding to the chaos. The Vindicator loss was the exception that caught the eye, but the real story was the sheer volume of expensive hulls lost across the wormhole.
