The Capital Toll
Four capital hulls fell: two Phoenix Navy Issue dreadnoughts, a Zirnitra, and an Apostle force auxiliary. The most expensive was a 7.3B ISK Phoenix Navy Issue flown by Infinity111 of Goonswarm Federation, destroyed by aishala Audeles of Fraternity. The Zirnitra's destruction was credited to a Goonswarm Federation pilot, while the Apostle fell to Northern Coalition fire. These capital losses were the most visible signs of a much larger conflict.
A Sea of Subcapitals
Beyond the capitals, the fighting was a sustained subcapital slog. Goonswarm Federation brought Raven and Maelstrom battleships alongside Zirnitra dreadnoughts, while Fraternity and Northern Coalition answered with their own Ravens, Muninn heavy assault cruisers, and Maelstroms. Ravens were present in large numbers on both sides, a testament to the reliance on missile battleships in this fight. Alongside Goonswarm, Dracarys and Sigma Grindset committed pilots, while Fraternity was joined by Northern Coalition and Test Alliance Please Ignore. Thousands of pilots filled the system, and the fighting continued for hours as battleships, interdictors, and logistics cruisers fell in large numbers.
A Curious Final Blow
One detail stood out amid the chaos. A Zirnitra dreadnought, one of the four capital losses, carried a final blow credited to a Goonswarm Federation pilot. In a fleet fight this large, the line between enemy action and internal confusion can blur. Whatever the cause, it added another layer to an already costly engagement.
