The loss leaves little doubt that the border system was still hot after the earlier freighter kill, with the attackers converting momentum into another costly prize.

THE CATCH

The Orca, flown by Logan Sabertooth of ISK-INVESTMENTS-CORP., was the clear centre of the action when the fight erupted at 10:03 UTC. In a system long known for ambushes and opportunistic strikes, a ship built to support industry and logistics became the day’s most expensive casualty instead. L.E.G.I.O.N. fielded 27 attackers around the target, enough to overwhelm the industrial vessel before it could slip away.

THE PRESSURE

The striking detail is the uniformity of the assault: the named attackers were flying Coercers, with zLegion 01 through zLegion 05 all contributing damage. That kind of concentrated destroyer pressure suggests a deliberate effort to pin the Orca down quickly and keep it from stabilising. By the time zLegion 03 landed the final blow, the outcome appears to have been beyond recovery.

THE LOSS

The Orca’s hold and fittings tell the story of a ship doing industrial work at the wrong moment. Mining charges were part of the cargo, along with salvage drones and Federation Navy Hobgoblins, but most of that value did not survive the encounter. Only 43.6 million ISK reportedly dropped, leaving the bulk of the 1.6 billion ISK loss to be destroyed in space.

THE CONSEQUENCE

In practical terms, the engagement adds another expensive wreck to Uedama’s ledger and another reminder that high-value industrial ships are never far from danger there. Coming on the heels of the earlier freighter destruction in the same system, this kill suggests L.E.G.I.O.N. was able to press the advantage and turn the traffic lane into a profitable hunting ground.

In between, the system swallowed 581 losses and roughly 1.77 trillion ISK, and when the shooting finally stopped, one side was still out there sweeping the grid for pods.

The final tally: 1,705 ships destroyed, roughly 44,900 pilots credited across the killmails, and one alliance sitting proudly at the top of both the kill column and the loss column.
