Brave Newbies Led HY-RWO's Killboard and Bled 13 Ships

At 20:11 UTC a Malediction died in HY-RWO. One hour and forty-five minutes later, at 21:56, another Malediction died in the same system. Between those two interceptors, 245 ships were destroyed, 326 pilots were involved, and roughly 60.6 billion ISK stopped existing. Nobody in the Catch region got a clean two-sided war story out of it.

Two Interceptors Bookend a Very Long Evening

The record opens with the loss of a Malediction belonging to Voices of War - Research and Production, and closes with a Malediction flown by Th3 Hav3n. An interceptor is not a hull anyone expects to survive a serious fight; it is, however, an odd thing for a battle to open and close with, because interceptors are usually the ships that run away from them. There was no running away from HY-RWO. Across 105 minutes, 245 ships were destroyed - a loss roughly every twenty-six seconds for the better part of two hours. That pace leaves no room for hesitation, for repositioning, or for the careful application of a doctrine somebody printed out beforehand. This was not a set-piece fleet engagement with a clear line of battle. It was a grinder that kept accepting new material.

The Killboard Refused to Pick a Side

Brave Newbies Inc. topped the attacking ledger with 32 kills. Dead's Prostitutes claimed 12, Hounds Of Haides 11, Baba Yagas 9, and Voices of War - Research and Production 8. Now read the other column. The Graduates lost 16 ships. TEMPLAR. lost 14. The New Federation lost 13. Brave Newbies Inc. lost 13 of their own. Voices of War - Research and Production lost 7. Two organisations appear on both lists, and one of them is the fight's leading aggressor. Brave Newbies Inc. finished the evening with the most kills of anyone and the joint-third-worst losses of anyone. Voices of War - Research and Production managed the same trick in miniature: eight kills, seven losses. When the top name on the kill table is also a name on the loss table, the tidy narrative of attackers and victims stops being available. What happened in HY-RWO appears to have been closer to a running brawl with several parties arriving, dying, reshipping and dying again.

Sixty Billion ISK and Not a Capital to Show for It

Not one capital ship died in HY-RWO. No dreadnoughts, no carriers, no supercapitals, no structures. The entire 60.6 billion ISK bill was paid in subcapital hulls, which somehow makes the number worse rather than better. Four hull types account for more than half of it. Gila losses headed the table at 11.7 billion ISK. Rokhs accounted for 8.95 billion, Drake Navy Issues 8.57 billion, and Apocalypses 3.83 billion. Between them, that is 33 billion ISK across four ships that are all, in theory, replaceable from a decent market hub. The average loss across the whole engagement works out at roughly 247 million ISK. That is not the average of a scrap between frigates and destroyers. That is the average of an evening where people undocked expensive things and lost them, repeatedly, in a system in Catch, for no objective that the data records.

A Wreck Every Twenty-Six Seconds

Roughly 577 million ISK was destroyed every minute of this fight. The timeline offers no dramatic reversal, no single moment where the outcome flipped and everyone present understood it had. The losses simply begin with one interceptor and end with another, and everything in between is sustained attrition. That is its own kind of exhausting. With no capital ships on field, there is no escalation that decides things in one volley; there is just pressure, applied for one hour and forty-five minutes, against pilots who keep coming back because their ship is only 247 million ISK and the fight is right there. Attritional warfare of this shape rewards whoever is willing to lose the most hulls and keep undocking. On the evidence, both sides were willing. Two hundred and forty-five times.

Who Paid, and Who Collected

Three organisations carried a disproportionate share of the wreckage: The Graduates on 16 losses, TEMPLAR. on 14, and The New Federation on 13. Two of those names suggest classrooms. HY-RWO was not a gentle lesson, and the tuition was paid in Rokhs and Drake Navy Issues rather than textbooks. At the other end, Low Fat Turkey finished the engagement as the top damage dealer across the field - the pilot whose guns were most consistently pointed at the right things while everyone else was trying to work out who was actually hostile. The last confirmed kill landed at 21:56 UTC. No structure fell, no sovereignty changed hands, no capital wreck marks the spot. What HY-RWO left behind was 245 killmails, a 60.6 billion ISK hole, and a killboard with Brave Newbies Inc. sitting near the top of both columns. The wreck field gets salvaged. The killboard does not.

Three Navy Phoenixes and a Naglfar Fall as Seventy-Five Pilots Contest VG-6CH

Command Ship Carnage in J152034

When several alliances clashed across three sides in the wormhole system of J152034, the result was a brief brawl that saw 20.2B ISK in combined losses. Mercenaires Sans Frontieres, Seriously Suspicious, and several other alliances traded blows in a chaotic three-way engagement where command ships and heavy assault cruisers accounted for most of the destroyed hulls.
