Amamake Becomes a Battleship Shredder as Rival Fleets Trade Hulls

A sprawling brawl in Amamake left dozens of ships destroyed and 15.7B ISK in combined losses as Minmatar Fleet Alliance, Slide On Contact and Fraternity forces collided in the Heimatar system. The fighting was dominated by battleship lines, with Typhoons and Apocalypses taking the heaviest losses across a chaotic afternoon.

Battleship Lines Meet

Minmatar Fleet Alliance brought a heavy core of Typhoons and Apocalypses, while Slide On Contact answered with its own Typhoons supported by Augorors and Prophecy Navy Issue battlecruisers. Fraternity committed a mixed line of Vexors, Caracals and Ravens. Smaller groups such as NecroSphere, Dracarys and The Ravens' Nest joined the exchange, adding cruisers to an already crowded field.

The Minmatar Line Absorbs the Worst

Minmatar Fleet Alliance's battleship formation bore the brunt of the damage. A long string of Typhoons and Apocalypses fell to pilots from Slide On Contact, Local Is Primary, The Ravens' Nest and Empyrean Edict. Slide On Contact also lost Typhoons of its own as Minmatar Fleet Alliance pilots returned fire, and the fight became a sustained trade of battleship hulls. Cruisers and frigates were destroyed as the engagement swirled around them.

A Billion-ISK Kronos Stands Out

The costliest individual loss belonged to LinkNet, whose Kronos was destroyed by Slide On Contact. The Kronos was worth 1B ISK, the only wreck of the engagement to reach that mark. Among a field otherwise populated by cheaper fleet hulls, its destruction was the sharpest single material blow of the afternoon.

Smaller Groups Add to the Chaos

Fraternity and Fraternity Auxiliary lost a Huginn, a Loki and several Vexors and Caracals in the opening exchanges, while NecroSphere and Dracarys shed Exequror Navy Issue cruisers and a Pontifex. Later skirmishes involving The Crimson Feed, Abyssal Booty Hunters and The Devil's Tattoo added destroyer and frigate losses. The result was a fight that touched nearly every ship class in Amamake, from frigates to battleships, with the biggest wreck a Kronos already accounted for.
