A Fraternity Bane Burns in P3EN-E

A capital Bane belonging to Fraternity was destroyed in P3EN-E, Vale of the Silent, during a short and chaotic engagement that produced 21.8B ISK in losses. The engagement drew more than a hundred pilots from across New Eden, but it was the destruction of this single capital ship that defined the fight.

The Only Capital Loss

Flown by General Kappler, the Bane was the only capital ship destroyed in the clash. Its loss alone accounted for 15.1B ISK, making it far and away the most expensive hull on the field. Saya Ammarr of WE F0RM FDZ landed the final blow, but the kill was very much a group effort. Dozens of attackers contributed to bringing the Bane down before the last shot connected. For Fraternity, the Bane was a capital asset not easily replaced, and its destruction in P3EN-E underlined the risk of fielding such a hull in a mixed brawl.

A Collision of Doctrines

Around the Bane, the engagement was a messy collision of ship types. The Initiative and Goonswarm Federation brought Redeemers and Widows into the system, while Fraternity fielded Wolves, Sabres, and Exequror Navy Issues. Invidia Gloriae Comes added its own mix of Wolves and Redeemers. Smaller hulls such as Jackdaws, Confessors, and Caracal Navy Issues also fell as the engagement unfolded.

A Lopsided Toll

Fraternity's losses extended beyond the Bane: the alliance also lost support ships in the surrounding melee. The Initiative, Goonswarm Federation, and Dracarys also took losses, including Redeemers, a Widow, and smaller craft. Yet even taken together, the remaining wrecks represented only a fraction of the Bane's value. For a fight this brief, the material cost was heavily concentrated in a single hull, and that hull belonged to Fraternity.

Three Navy Phoenixes and a Naglfar Fall as Seventy-Five Pilots Contest VG-6CH

The fight in VG-6CH, Venal, was compact enough to count the capital wrecks by hand and costly enough that each one mattered. The engagement drew seventy-five pilots and left four dead dreadnoughts: three Phoenix Navy Issues and a Naglfar.
