Praxis Caught and Cracked in 2-KPW6 Skirmish

A Goonswarm Federation Praxis was run down and destroyed in 2-KPW6 as a small group closed the distance on a target worth just over 1.6 billion ISK. The brief fight lasted only seconds, but it still left nearly 3.1 billion ISK in wreckage and loot behind, with the expensive battlecruiser taking the brunt of the loss.

THE CATCH

The engagement in 2-KPW6 appears to have begun and ended in a narrow window, with nine pilots involved and no room for a long contest. At the center of it was Nelvian’s Praxis, flown by HongLou of Goonswarm Federation, a hull that immediately stood out in a fight of this size. Against that backdrop, the ship became the obvious prize, and the surrounding ships moved in to take it apart.

THE DAMAGE

The Praxis absorbed substantial fire before it finally went down, with more than 49,000 damage recorded from the attackers named in the report. Ssica and Neivian, both also in Praxis hulls, did much of the work, while Machariels from Goonswarm Federation added pressure from the outside. The final blow went to Lulla By in a Machariel, ending the ship’s last attempt to stay in the field.

THE BREAK

What remained of the ship tells the story of a target that was under sustained punishment rather than a clean one-shot execution. Roughly 910.7 million ISK in items and fittings were recovered, while 690.7 million ISK was destroyed with the hull. Among the losses were torpedoes, a shield hardener, a capacitor control circuit, and a launcher fit that suggests the Praxis had been built to hit back hard before it was overwhelmed.

THE COST

For a fight that unfolded in under half a minute, the result was expensive enough to matter. Two ships were lost in the exchange, but the Praxis was the clear centerpiece: a 1.6 billion ISK kill in a localized skirmish where every additional pilot seemed to tighten the net. In a region where brief encounters can still decide who keeps moving and who ends up in pieces, this one favored the hunters.
