The Drill Falls Early

The fight opened with the moon drill, and Goonswarm pilot Haappupunen Pon Erata landed the final blow on the moon drill. Fraternity's response came quickly, and within a minute the first Fraternity ship was down. Then Goonswarm's own losses began to mount.

Raven Against Raven, With Nightmares

Fraternity fielded a heavy Raven fleet supported by Nightmares. Goonswarm's main line was Ravens, and the difference showed. Goonswarm suffered heavy Raven losses, with Navy Issue hulls and command ships also destroyed.

A Painful Exchange

Goonswarm's casualties included a long line of Ravens, several Navy Issue battleships, command ships, and reconnaissance ships. Apart from the moon drill, Fraternity lost only a handful of support ships, including a Rapier, a Hyena, and a few logistics cruisers.

What the Moon Drill Cost

The moon drill was the single most valuable target, and Goonswarm did succeed in destroying it. But the ship losses fell overwhelmingly on Goonswarm. Fraternity suffered far fewer ship losses, while Goonswarm paid a steep price for the moon drill.
