One Kill Every Seventeen Seconds
Three hours is a long time to hold a fight together. At 187 minutes and 638 confirmed losses, P-ZMZV produced a kill roughly every seventeen seconds from the opening capsule to the closing deployable - not a spike of violence but a plateau of it. That is the shape of a battle that never quite broke. No rout, no clean disengage, just a system that stayed lethal for the better part of an afternoon while both sides kept feeding hulls into it. WarBeacon files the engagement as a capital battle, the category reserved for fights where the expensive hardware actually undocks and commits. Four capitals were destroyed in P-ZMZV, alongside four structures. In a fast skirmish that would be an atrocity. In a three-hour grind, it is simply what the last hour looked like.
ChuangShi's Nine-to-One Afternoon
By the raw numbers, ChuangShi had the worst of it. The corporation's pilots lost 249 ships - close to forty per cent of every loss recorded in the system - and registered 27 kills in return. ChuangShi's name appears in the attacker column as well as the victim column, which usually means the fighting was mutual rather than one-sided; on this occasion the loss column still outweighed the kill column roughly nine to one. They were not alone in the wreckage. Cosmic-Wanderers lost 65 ships and Chuangshi College lost 50, which puts the combined total for those three organisations at 364 losses - comfortably more than half of everything destroyed in P-ZMZV. The heaviest hitters on the attacking side were Can't park there m8 with 85 kills against 23 losses, The Northerners with 78 against 44, 0ffline Corporation with 37, Running with Dogs with 30, and ChuangShi itself with 27. Multi-sided logs are rarely this lopsided, and those ratios are the clearest evidence of where the pressure actually sat for three hours.
Forty-Nine Billion ISK of Typhoon Fleet Issue
The most expensive line on the battle report is not a Titan. It is a Typhoon Fleet Issue. Losses of the Minmatar battleship totalled 49.3 billion ISK - a figure well beyond what the hulls alone would account for, meaning either a great many of them died or a smaller number died carrying fittings worth more than most frigates. The data does not distinguish between the two, and it does not need to. What it says is that Typhoon Fleet Issues were the single largest entry on the bill, and that whatever doctrine was flying them kept arriving in system anyway. Behind them came 15.7 billion ISK of Machariel, 10.5 billion of Typhoon, and 8.06 billion of Zarmazd. That last figure is worth a second look. Zarmazd is a support hull - the sort of ship that is meant to be sitting behind the line repairing things, not appearing on a loss list in the billions. Support wings die when a fight turns against them, and in P-ZMZV the fight stayed turned for a very long time.
Four Capitals and a Deployable
Four capital losses place P-ZMZV firmly in capital-battle territory. Committing capitals is a statement of intent: they are slow, enormously expensive, and extremely difficult to extract from a system already full of hostiles. Four of them were destroyed anyway, which suggests the commitment was serious and the exit was not clean. Four structures died as well. In a fight of this length, that tends to be how it ends - not with one decisive fleet wipe, but with somebody's anchored hardware finally running out of hit points and covering fire. The last confirmed loss was that Mobile Sanguine Harvester belonging to The Northerners, logged at 16:56. There is something faintly comic about a three-hour, 172-billion-ISK capital engagement ending on a deployable. It is also the most honest detail in the report: by then, that was simply what was left to shoot at.
The Bill, and Who Paid It
Add it up and P-ZMZV consumed a little over 172 billion ISK in ships, modules and structures across 638 losses. In practical terms that is a capital fleet's worth of value scattered across one Querious system, plus the rather larger problem of replacing 249 ChuangShi hulls and everything that was fitted to them. It was not all one-way traffic. ChuangShi's 27 kills and The Northerners' 44 losses show that the winning side of the ledger still paid for its afternoon. Operative Frost finished on top of the damage charts, and the fact that Can't park there m8, The Northerners, 0ffline Corporation and Running with Dogs all appear in the same attacking column suggests a fight that pulled in more than one group rather than a tidy single-bloc engagement. What P-ZMZV demonstrates is what three hours of sustained engagement does to both sides. No dramatic reversal, no famous last stand - just attrition, applied steadily and without pause, with one corporation on the wrong end of it and a great many battleship hulls on fire in a system nobody will remember for anything else.
