Cenotaph Kill Highlights Siseide's Expensive Subcapital Brawl

A grinding engagement in Siseide pulled together fleets from Minmatar Fleet Alliance, Smile 'n' Wave, C A M E L O T and Invidia Gloriae Comes, along with a scattering of smaller groups, and left 12.4B ISK in losses across the system.

Four Groups, One Grid

The brawl drew 122 distinct pilots from across New Eden, with the main formations built around battleship, heavy assault cruiser and destroyer doctrines. Minmatar Fleet Alliance pilots flew Typhoon battleships and Thrasher Fleet Issue destroyers, while C A M E L O T fielded Sacrileges and Guardians. Smile 'n' Wave answered with its own Sacrilege line supported by Oneiros logistics cruisers, and Invidia Gloriae Comes and Slide On Contact mixed Lokis, Thrasher Fleet Issues and Punishers. The mix of hulls meant the fight was a grinding exchange of fire rather than a single decisive charge.

Cenotaphs Fall

The most expensive individual loss was ural 2's Cenotaph battlecruiser, destroyed by Orion Sa-Solo of Minmatar Fleet Alliance at 750.7M ISK. A second Cenotaph was destroyed moments earlier by another Minmatar Fleet Alliance pilot, and Invidia Gloriae Comes also lost two Lokis and a Tengu in the same stretch. The strategic and battlecruiser losses were a sharp blow to Invidia Gloriae Comes' line.

Support Wings Suffer

Smile 'n' Wave's logistics and command elements took heavy punishment, with multiple Oneiros and Guardian cruisers destroyed along with a Damnation command ship. Minmatar Fleet Alliance also lost a Typhoon battleship and an Armageddon, while Slide On Contact and Enemy in System both lost destroyers. C A M E L O T lost a Guardian. No single group escaped the exchange without significant material damage.

Three Navy Phoenixes and a Naglfar Fall as Seventy-Five Pilots Contest VG-6CH

The fight in VG-6CH, Venal, was compact enough to count the capital wrecks by hand and costly enough that each one mattered. The engagement drew seventy-five pilots and left four dead dreadnoughts: three Phoenix Navy Issues and a Naglfar.
