Battleship Brawl in Frerstorn Turns the System into a Wrecking Yard

A sprawling fleet fight in Frerstorn turned the system into a wrecking yard of navy cruisers, battlecruisers, and battleships, with combined losses reaching 18.4B ISK. The engagement drew in Minmatar Fleet Alliance, Slide On Contact, Local Is Primary, Dracarys., The Ravens' Nest, and a host of smaller groups, and the losses fell heavily across the largest alliances involved.

Navy Cruisers Set the Tone

The opening exchanges were sharp and cruiser-heavy. Smile 'n' Wave and Slide On Contact lost an Osprey Navy Issue, Exequror Navy Issues, and an Omen Navy Issue to Minmatar Fleet Alliance. The Ravens' Nest also gave up several Omen Navy Issues and a Vedmak. These early kills were quick and expensive, and they set the pattern for the heavier losses that followed.

Battleships Pile Up Across the System

Once the heavier hulls appeared, the fight became a bruising exchange of battleship losses. Minmatar Fleet Alliance fielded Ravens and Typhoons, while Slide On Contact answered with Typhoons and Prophecy Navy Issues. Dracarys. brought its own Ravens and Ferox Navy Issues, and Local Is Primary put an Apocalypse and Typhoons on the field. The New Eden Yacht Club contributed a Raven Navy Issue and a Typhoon, and support cruisers like Augorors, Exequrors, and Blackbirds took losses throughout. Many of those hulls were destroyed in rapid succession, leaving a growing trail of wrecks.

The Orthrus That Carried a Battleship Price

The single most expensive loss of the fight belonged to Serial Heroes, when GregoryHouse's Orthrus was destroyed by necromancer 1 of How High Can I Fly at 579.7M ISK. That one cruiser loss outweighed many of the battleship wrecks scattered across Frerstorn, a reminder that a well-fit cruiser can carry a battleship-sized price tag. The wider engagement remained a grinding exchange of hulls, with the largest alliances all taking losses.
