The Front That Refuses to Widen
G4-QU6 and TA9T-P are both under ihub defense, and after roughly 55 hours of tracked fighting they are still the only two systems in play. No sovereignty has changed hands. Nothing neighbouring has been pulled into the fight. This is a constellation campaign in its narrowest form: pressure concentrated instead of spread, with G4-QU6 consistently the hotter of the pair. Whatever else The Skeleton Crew has to worry about, it does not currently have a second front to worry about.
The Reading That Flipped
The opening snapshot gave the defenders a comfortable edge. Two days later that edge was gone and the attackers held the lead, with both observations flagged as escalating. That is the whole campaign compressed into two data points: an attacking force that spent its time converting a losing position into a winning one, and a defending alliance that has watched its early advantage erode without a single new system being dragged into the contest. Momentum shifts inside a fixed front are quiet things. This one was not.
What The Skeleton Crew Has Not Lost
Worth saying plainly: nothing has fallen. Both ihubs remain contested rather than captured, and the tally of systems lost sits at zero. Holding two simultaneous structural defences for well over two days is not a collapse, and a defender that is still contesting both systems is still in the fight. Escalation cuts both ways here, and the attackers have had to keep pushing to stay ahead.
Two Systems and Only Two Readings
The trend line is short. Two observations, one direction, one reversal of fortune. That is enough to say the attackers are gaining ground in The Kalevala Expanse, and not much more. If the pressure keeps climbing, it could spread into neighbouring systems or force The Skeleton Crew to choose which of the two ihubs it can afford to hold hardest. If it does not, a single further reading could put the defenders back in front. Either way, the front is small, the stakes are structural, and neither side has yet been given a reason to stop.
