A Wider Footprint, Same Pressure
The latest observation added WIO-OL to the contested list, joining 1-10QG and 6-GRN7. Each system is recorded as an infrastructure hub defense contest. Despite the wider map, the attacker's ability to pressure those hubs has not materially improved since the earlier snapshot.
A Grinding Stalemate, Not a Breakthrough
The campaign has now run for about 116 hours. In that time, the contested list has expanded, but the underlying scores have drifted nowhere: the defenders continue to hold the advantage in every recorded contest. Momentum in the latest snapshot is labelled escalating, but that escalation is one more system on the map, not a shift in control. The attacker's score has remained at 40 across both observations while the defender holds 60.
Defenders Holding, Quietly
There is no sign that Lunar Luminescence has lost or gained territory; the wider contested list is not the same as a system changing hands. The defenders have maintained the stronger position in every recorded contest, and the campaign momentum remains defensive from their perspective. For now, the story in Outer Passage is one of containment: a front that grows a little wider but stays shallow.
The Unresolved Question
The key uncertainty is whether the new contest in WIO-OL will eventually change the pressure balance. So far, it has not. With the attacker's position unchanged after days of contesting, the additional system has not yet translated into a stronger position. For now, Outer Passage remains a front where the map grows but the balance does not.
